SEO, SEM And Wordpress Basics
These are basic introductions to SEO, SEM And Wordpress. Lets start with
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, in plain English, its the method on how you would like to be on top of a search engine result for a certain keyword that you like to rank using some techniques like improving the volume of the sites that link to you site and others. You still didn’t get what i mean right? :p Heres the official explanation
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (”organic” or “algorithmic”) search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it “ranks”, the more searchers will visit that site. SEO can also target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

SEM stand for Search Engine Marketing, and i think its better that i quote this from wiki, am not good on explaining things.
Search engine marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet marketing that seeks to promote websites by increasing their visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs). According to the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization, SEM methods include: search engine optimization (or SEO), paid placement, and paid inclusion. Other sources, including the New York Times, define SEM as the practice of buying paid search listings.

Wordpress is a Content Management System (CMS), its the most popular blogging tool bloggers use these days, basically its the whole site that you are seeing right now, i used Wordpress instead of designing, coding CSS and HTMLs of my own. All you have to do is download Wordpress, install, choose some free Wordpress themes, activate the theme and you’re ready to blog. Easy.
